Each intercooler features a high density Garrett core with bar & plate construction which allows each intercooler to better function as a heat sink -- which is a big advantage in stop and go traffic. These designs are also much less susceptible to damage in front mount locations and can handle higher boost loads than comparable tube & fin designs.
